A subsidiary of Econpile Holdings Bhd has secured piling and foundation work worth RM73 million for a new building at Hospital Tung Shin in Kuala Lumpur. Completion is expected within 21 months.

SA Architects Sdn Bhd awarded the contract on Hospital Tung Shin’s behalf. Its scope includes earth-retaining structures and piling, as well as pile caps and the slab for the lowest basement.

The wider project entails demolition of existing structures to make way for a hospital building. Plans include hospital facilities across multiple levels, alongside car parks, offices and basement levels.

This marks Econpile’s second contract win for financial year 2027. In October, it secured a RM24.4 mil piling contract for a 53-storey apartment on Jalan Tun Razak.

Econpile shares rose 4% to 13 sen, giving the company a valuation of RM184.28 million. The stock remained down 43% for the year to date.
