Signature Alliance wins RM51.56 million Langkawi aquarium redevelopment job
The 18-month project is scheduled to begin on Nov 13 and was not included in the group's previously reported unbilled order book.

Signature Alliance Group Bhd said its wholly owned subsidiary Zig Zag Builders (M) Sdn Bhd has won a RM51.56 million redevelopment contract for Underwater World Langkawi. The aquarium's owner and operator, Underwater World Langkawi Sdn Bhd, awarded the job on Nov 2.
In a bourse filing, Signature Alliance said redevelopment and refurbishment would take 18 months, with work scheduled to start on Nov 13. It expects the project to make a positive contribution to earnings and net assets over the contract period.
The group said separately that the award was outside its previously disclosed RM228.6 million unbilled order book as at June 30, 2026. It also reported RM80.2 million in net cash as at June 30.
Zig Zag Builders previously carried out work valued at more than RM40 million for two serviced-apartment blocks at a commercial hotel property in Langkawi. That project covered interior fit-out and related work, including cabinetry, built-in furniture and joinery.
Signature Alliance's executive director and group chief executive director Datuk Chang Chung Fei said the group's experience with Langkawi's logistics and operating conditions would be useful for the aquarium project.
The Pantai Cenang aquarium began operating in August 1995 and is part of Main Market-listed Eden Inc Bhd.
Signature Alliance shares finished at 62.5 sen, unchanged, valuing the group at RM625 million. Eden closed at 15.5 sen after gaining half a sen, or 3.33%, with a market value of RM78 million.
