Bitdeer plans further Malaysian investment, prepares AI infrastructure proposal
Anwar said the investment must provide jobs and training for Malaysians in AI, engineering and advanced computing.

Bitdeer Technologies Group intends to keep investing in Malaysia and is refining a long-term proposal for AI infrastructure in the country, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
In a post on X, Anwar said the company had conveyed its intentions during a courtesy visit on Nov 6 by founder, chairman and chief executive officer Jihan Wu and his delegation. He attributed its interest to confidence in the MADANI Government’s policies and approach to digital transformation.
Anwar said he stressed that the investment must generate employment and offer training to build Malaysian expertise, particularly in AI, engineering and advanced computing.
He added that the government would facilitate strategic investments of this kind so that digital economy growth supports local industries and provides Malaysians with more high-value jobs.
Headquartered in Singapore and listed on Nasdaq, Bitdeer provides cloud computing services for artificial intelligence (AI) as well as infrastructure for Bitcoin mining.
