Microlink secures RM59.58 million passenger screening contract extension
The additional work includes onboarding more airlines, renewing software licences and maintaining the Immigration Department’s screening system.

Microlink Solutions Bhd said its Immigration Department passenger screening contract has been extended by 12 months for RM59.58 million. The arrangement covers the advance passenger screening system (APS), according to a bourse filing.
The extension starts on Nov 6, 2026 and runs until Nov 5, 2027. With the additional period, the contract spans 36 months.
Microlink said the extension was accepted by Microlink Systems Sdn Bhd, its wholly owned subsidiary, via a Ministry of Home Affairs letter. A supplementary agreement between the subsidiary and ministry will formalise the arrangement, while Microlink Systems must provide a performance bond.
The work includes application services to bring more airlines onto the system, alongside infrastructure services. Software licences will also be renewed, with support and maintenance provided for APS.
The November 2024 award carried a value of RM83.51 million inclusive of sales and service tax (SST). Microlink put the overall contract value following the extension at RM137.92 million, excluding SST.
At the Nov 6 market close, Microlink traded at 6.5 sen, a decline of 1.5 sen or 18.75%. The company’s market capitalisation fell to RM105 million.
