Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) has opened its first hub for vehicle body repairs and painting in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, adding to its after-sales operations. The facility serves several brands in the company’s automotive portfolio.

The 41,508 square feet centre has 39 work bays. Its painting facilities include four spray booths and three paint-mixing rooms. Brands catered for include Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi and smart electric vehicles, with Proton e.MAS vehicles expected to be accommodated in future.

EON chief executive officer Akkbar Danial said the hub uses modern repair technology and has trained personnel. He said customers could submit accident repair claims through any insurance company at the centre.

Akkbar said EON intended to explore opportunities for hubs at strategic locations in other states. He said such expansion would draw on the company’s existing network to improve customers’ access to services and support across the brands it handles.
