Bank Rakyat links website disruption to third-party technical fault
The bank said customer data and deposits were unaffected, while alternative banking channels remained available.

Bank Rakyat said on Nov 7 that a technical fault involving an external service provider had disrupted access to its corporate website. The bank assured customers that their personal and banking information, along with deposits, remained secure.
The disruption was limited to that website, according to the bank, which said its operations and banking systems continued to run normally. Work to restore access was ongoing.
For transactions, customers could use iRakyat through its website or mobile banking app. Other available channels included BRICK and QR2E, as well as the business banking portal i-bizRAKYAT, the bank said.
Bank Rakyat apologised for the inconvenience and said it would communicate further developments. Problems accessing the corporate portal had been reported on Friday, prompting advice for customers to transact through other digital services and mobile applications.
