Maxis posts 8.5% quarterly profit rise, declares 4.5 sen dividend
Revenue increased 3.7% to RM2.68 billion, while the company maintained its full-year guidance.

Maxis Bhd reported net profit of RM447 million for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2026, up 8.5% from RM412 million a year earlier. Its bourse filing attributed the improvement to increased service revenue and reduced costs.
Quarterly revenue reached RM2.68 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. Maxis declared an interim dividend of 4.5 sen per share, with payment due on Dec 22. This takes dividends declared year-to-date to 12.50 sen.
Chief executive officer Goh Seow Eng said the company remained on course to meet its full-year guidance. Maxis expects low single-digit growth in both service revenue and Ebitda, with capital expenditure at about 10% of total revenue for 2026.
Across the first nine months, Maxis recorded RM1.30 billion in net profit, up 10.1%, supported partly by cost control. Revenue increased 4.0% to RM8.07 billion, with device revenue rising nearly 15%. Excluding device sales, service revenue grew 1.1%, while Ebitda increased 3.6%. Capital expenditure amounted to RM548 million.
Before the results were announced during the noon trading break, Maxis shares traded at RM3.50, down 10 sen or less than 3%. The price put its market capitalisation at about RM27 billion.
