Zetrix AI Bhd said on Oct 6 that it was still determining its outstanding remittances with the Road Transport Department (JPJ), after Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook put the unpaid sum at RM314 million.

Responding to Bursa Malaysia queries, Zetrix confirmed that it and subsidiary MyEG Sdn Bhd had been suspended as JPJ collection agents because of remittance delays. The company said it had proposed a payment arrangement, but the amount and settlement conditions still required discussions and a formal agreement with the authorities.

Zetrix said the suspension would continue pending completion of talks with JPJ, the Ministry of Transport and other authorities. It expected services to resume once the authorities agreed to its proposed framework, although no firm timeline had been confirmed.

Loke, however, said services could not resume before the arrears were paid. He said the government would pursue recovery and could consider civil action. Further conditions would apply after payment, including directing collections into the government’s account.

According to Loke, the unpaid collections covered May to September. He said four engagement sessions and 35 reminders had failed to secure settlement. A RM231 million cheque issued in September was not processed after Zetrix told its bank to stop payment when it was credited on Sept 30, he added.

The company warned that the disruption would temporarily reduce revenue and profit contributions from JPJ services in 4QFY2026, without quantifying the impact. Affected services include renewals of road tax and driving licences, summons payments and vehicle ownership transfers.

Zetrix shares closed at nine sen on Oct 6, gaining 2.5 sen or 38.5% and giving the company a market value of RM727.1 million.
