RON97 and RON95 prices to rise 15 sen from Oct 8
Diesel prices will be unchanged, with unsubsidised diesel at RM5.27 and subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre.

Motorists buying unsubsidised petrol will pay an additional 15 sen from Oct 8 to Oct 14, according to the Finance Ministry. The new price for RON97 is RM5.15, compared with RM5 previously, while RON95 moves from RM4.52 to RM4.67.
There will be no adjustment to unsubsidised diesel, which stays at RM5.27. Subsidised fuel prices are also being maintained: petrol at RM1.99 per litre and diesel at RM2.10 per litre.
The ministry identified refined petroleum products as the current focus of pricing pressure. Brent crude is hovering near US$100 per barrel despite recovering crude flows from West Asia.
The government linked tighter international supply and rising prices to China's suspension of much of its October fuel exports. It also cited the Russia-Ukraine conflict as an ongoing risk to stable petroleum supplies.
The ministry said a recovery in worldwide refining capacity and petroleum product supply is vital for easing short-term price pressure. It described fuel supply as sufficient for now and urged prudent consumption by Malaysians.
