Six semiconductor firms in pipeline for IPOs by 2030
Sidec also plans to train 1,000 engineers annually and launch Phase Three of its IC Park programme to address industry talent needs.

Six semiconductor and integrated circuit (IC) firms are being lined up for public listings by 2030, according to the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec). The corporation said AiSEM@Selangor 2026 aims to help companies in these sectors grow.
Speaking to Bernama at the summit, Sidec chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping said the listing target was aligned with the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS). The strategy seeks to develop 10 companies by 2030 on a scale comparable to Main Market-listed SkyeChip Bhd, which he said was valued at around RM3 billion.
Yong said Sidec would concentrate on developing talent, securing funding and connecting businesses to help semiconductor companies expand. He put the industry's current vacancies at about 10,000 jobs.
Sidec plans to introduce Phase Three of its IC Park programme, with annual training for 1,000 engineers and a target of 3,000 engineers by 2030. Its Park 1 in Puchong, Selangor concentrates on chip design and software development, while Park 2 in Cyberjaya covers hardware testing, validation and talent development.
Yong said the summit was expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors, including 8,000 students. About 50 Malaysian and overseas companies are participating, with opportunities to discuss partnerships, financing and technologies for use across industries.
AiSEM@Selangor runs from Oct 14 to 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur as part of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026.
