Taghill Holdings Bhd’s former chief executive officer Ng Wai Hoe is no longer a substantial shareholder after selling 30 million shares on Oct 16, according to the construction company’s bourse filing.

The off-market disposal represented a 1.93% stake. Following the sale, Ng’s direct and indirect interests together stood at 4.77%, compared with 6.7% as at Sept 8.

Taghill did not disclose the sale price in its filing. Bloomberg data put the price at five sen for each share and the transaction’s value at approximately RM1.5 million. That price represented a discount of 23.08% to the stock’s Oct 16 close of 6.5 sen.

Ng previously served as both CEO and executive director. He joined the board as managing director in December 2020 and took on the CEO and executive director roles in September 2024. Taghill was previously known as Siab Holdings Bhd.

With a 22.86% holding, Mbuild Venture Sdn Bhd remains Taghill’s largest shareholder. It is controlled by managing director Wong Yih Ming together with executive directors Chu Yee Hong and Yap Kek Siung.

Taghill closed at 6.5 sen on Oct 19, unchanged for the session, valuing the company at RM93.93 million.
