MyDCD to explore engineering projects beyond Klang Valley after listing
The engineering firm has an order book of RM1.32 billion, with revenue recognition extending to FY2032.

MyDCD Bhd plans to consider engineering opportunities in southern and northern Malaysia after its ACE Market listing, chief executive officer Chris Ow Yong said. Projects in the Klang Valley contributed nearly all its revenue in FY2026.
Speaking to reporters at the company's prospectus launch, Ow Yong said MyDCD would assess opportunities outside its existing geographical base. The group is scheduled for listing on Nov 17, while applications for its IPO close on Nov 2. The offering is expected to raise RM268.8 million for MyDCD and its shareholders.
At Sept 30, MyDCD had RM1.32 billion in orders, which it expects to recognise through FY2032. Ow Yong said utility disruptions were unlikely to affect operations or secured orders because the company only received projects from clients with utility allocations approved by the authorities.
MyDCD integrates mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and fire protection for critical infrastructure, including data centres. Its customers operate enterprise and co-location facilities ranging from 10MW to 20MW.
Its largest customer, Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd, accounted for 85% of FY2026 revenue. The relationship spans three years. Binastra Builders is the wholly owned construction subsidiary of Binastra Corporation Bhd, which is listed on the Main Market.
Net profit rose to RM66.8 million in FY2026 from RM16.8 million in FY2023. However, the profit after tax margin declined to 10.03% in FY2026, compared with 10.61% in FY2025 and 11.07% in FY2024. At end-June, MyDCD held RM27.69 million in cash and bank balances and had no borrowings.
