Micro Technology Solution Sdn Bhd has been awarded a purchase order valued at RM51.58 million for GPU-accelerated servers, its parent MM Computer Systems Bhd (KL:MMCS) said on Nov 3. The subsidiary is wholly owned by the IT solutions provider.

MMCS did not name the customer. It described the buyer as a Malaysian provider of data centre services and telecommunications infrastructure, and said it anticipated a positive contribution from the contract to earnings and net assets per share.

According to MMCS, the equipment is intended for workloads needing intensive computation. Applications include generative AI, deep learning and advanced data analytics, as well as high-performance computing. The servers also support training and inference for large language models.

The shares finished Tuesday at 36.5 sen with no change, putting MMCS's market value at RM207 million. Since its June debut on the ACE Market, the stock has climbed over 65% against the 22 sen initial public offering price.
