Mercedes-AMG previews electric GT 4-Door Coupe in Malaysia
The Malaysian model will be the GT 63, with an estimated starting price of RM1.29 million; the preview car is a GT 55.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has shown the second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe ahead of its local launch. The car is not yet officially on sale, and the company’s preview features the GT 55 rather than the GT 63 planned for Malaysian buyers.
The new generation uses the AMG.EA platform and is electric-only. Both variants have three axial flux motors supplied by Yasa, with one driving the front and two at the rear.
For the GT 63, peak output is rated at 1,169 PS and 2,000 Nm, while continuous power is 721 PS. Its stated acceleration time from 0-100 km/h is 2.4 seconds. With the optional Drivers Package, top speed is 300 km/h.
A 106 kWh battery gives the GT 63 a WLTP-rated driving range of 596 to 696 km. The 800-volt system supports 350 kW DC charging, with a stated charging time of 16 minutes to move from 10 to 80%. Maximum AC charging power is 11 kW.
The four-seat cabin includes a 10.2-inch instrument display, a 14-inch infotainment screen and a separate 14-inch passenger touchscreen. Three rotary controls on the centre console provide access to driving dynamics settings, while the panoramic glass roof has segments that can be switched individually.
