LPI Capital’s third-quarter net profit falls 15.7% to RM96.82 million
Revenue increased 1.1% to RM555.52 million, supported by higher insurance revenue in the general insurance segment.

LPI Capital Bhd reported net profit of RM96.82 million for its third quarter, which ended Sept 30, 2026, down 15.7% from RM114.83 million a year earlier. The company attributed the decline to reduced profit in its investment holding segment.
Quarterly revenue reached RM555.52 million, a 1.1% increase from RM549.31 million, as the general insurance segment generated higher insurance revenue. For the first nine months, net profit was RM263.21 million, down 11.1% from RM295.97 million. Revenue for that period rose from RM1.57 billion to RM1.64 billion, with general insurance the main driver.
In its Bursa Malaysia filing, LPI Capital said it would put profitable growth ahead of expanding premiums, focusing on sustainable underwriting profitability rather than market share alone. It plans to strengthen technical pricing and risk segmentation, alongside reviews of loss, expense and combined ratios across products, customers, channels, geographical regions and agents.
The insurer said Malaysia’s growth outlook remained broadly resilient, citing technology-related exports, investment and domestic demand. It nevertheless identified the West Asia conflict, volatile energy prices, uncertainty over trade and disruptions to supply chains as significant external risks.
LPI Capital also said adopting artificial intelligence would help it monitor risks, improve the accuracy of pricing and strengthen decisions on underwriting.
