Passengers using KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will pay higher fares from January 1. For the non-stop Ekspres service linking KL Sentral with KLIA T1/T2, the one-way price will rise from RM55 to RM65, while a return ticket will increase from RM100 to RM118.

The fare increases are roughly +18%, apart from two routes. Travel between KLIA T1 and T2 will remain at RM2. The Putrajaya-KLIA fare will rise from RM9.40 to RM11.50, an increase of +22%.

Express Rail Link CEO Datin Noormah Mohd Noor said the adjustment would help the operator maintain service standards and fund improvements to the passenger experience. She said the previous fare revision had taken place 11 years earlier.

Noormah said the operator had faced increasing operating costs while continuing to provide the two rail services. She also reiterated its commitment to a fast and reliable link between KL Sentral and KLIA.
