Jati Tinggi Group Bhd said it has won a RM30.1 million job to construct electricity infrastructure serving a data centre in Kulai, Johor, with the award going to wholly-owned subsidiary Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd.

The scope covers underground cable ducting for two circuits at 275kV, alongside 11kV temporary power cable works. The subsidiary will handle engineering and procurement as well as construction and commissioning.

In its Bursa Malaysia filing, Jati Tinggi withheld the customer's name. It described the client as a Malaysian company providing hosting infrastructure, data processing services and related activities.

The group expects the contract to benefit its earnings and its net assets per share.

Jati Tinggi had also won two jobs from Tenaga Nasional Bhd earlier in the month, totalling RM15.7 million. These cover underground cabling in Selangor and a system to monitor submarine power cables in Perlis.

The shares finished at RM1.20, up one sen or 0.84%, valuing the group at RM531.51 million.
