IOI Properties signs deal for four Marriott hotels in Malaysia
The planned hotels will add 888 rooms, with openings scheduled for 2030 and 2032.

IOI Properties Group Bhd and Marriott International Inc have signed an agreement covering four new Malaysian hotels with 888 rooms, according to a press statement dated Sept 30. The projects span Langkawi, Putrajaya, Sepang and Johor Bahru.
IOI Properties Group CEO Datuk Lee Yeow Seng said the additions would bring the group's ownership to fifteen hotels, including existing and future properties managed by Marriott International. The group aims to have 4,648 hotel rooms across Malaysia, Singapore and China by 2032.
The 173-key W Langkawi is scheduled to open in 2030 at Pantai Kok, marking the brand's entry into Langkawi. The Ritz-Carlton, Putrajaya, with 215 keys, is planned for 2032 within a 70-storey mixed-use tower in Phase 3 of IOI Resort City.
Aloft by Marriott Sepang is planned as a 250-key hotel within a 40-acre commercial project in Kota Warisan, with a 2030 opening targeted.
The 250-key Aloft by Marriott Johor Bahru Plentong is also expected to open in 2030. It will be located within the IOI @Plentong mixed-use project and will be the brand's first hotel in Johor Bahru.
