iCents Group Holdings Bhd said its subsidiary has been awarded the first stage of a semiconductor wafer processing facility project in Selangor for RM21.05 million, excluding sales and service tax (SST). The two-stage project could be worth RM36.15 million excluding SST.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the group said VC Engineering Sdn Bhd, which it wholly owns, accepted a letter of award from the Malaysian subsidiary of a company based in the United States. The contract covers engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC).

Completion of stage 1 is estimated to take 18 weeks. Stage 2 carries a value of RM15.10 million excluding SST. Although the letter sets out the work involved in that stage, it remains conditional on the employer issuing a separate written award notice.

The group expects the project to have a positive effect on its net assets and earnings per share from the financial year ending June 30, 2027 through to completion.
