Exsim Hospitality Bhd has won a carpentry subcontract worth RM13.49 million from Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd, according to a Bursa filing. The award covers work on typical units through its wholly owned subsidiary, Exsim Concepto Sdn Bhd.

The scope includes fabricating and supplying the carpentry, as well as delivery and installation. Binastra Builders is the wholly owned construction subsidiary of Binastra Corp Bhd.

The work will follow Binastra Builders’ main contract programme. That programme began on Dec 9, 2024, with completion scheduled for June 8, 2028.

Defect liability runs for 27 months after the certificate of practical completion is issued, or until every defect is rectified, whichever occurs later.

Earlier awards from Binastra Builders included a RM138 million subcontract on April 17 covering mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, alongside interior design, architectural and other building services. A March 13 award worth RM73.66 million covered general works and building services.

At the Oct 22 close, Exsim Hospitality shares were down half a sen at 50 sen, giving the group a valuation of RM1.16 billion. Binastra shares fell five sen or 1.79% to RM2.75, with a market capitalisation of RM3.01 billion.
