Evocom Bhd has called for Budget 2027 to place greater weight on technology, artificial intelligence (AI), clean energy and smart cities. The logistics support services provider wants to broaden its involvement in green logistics and route optimisation.

At a press conference, executive director and deputy chief executive officer Dr Esther Loo said these priorities fitted the company’s technology plans. Evocom plans to optimise deliveries by removing unnecessary routes, while contributing to government efforts on green energy and smart cities.

Loo said the company was considering ways to help low-wage workers and enable data sharing for smart cities. Other areas being explored include improvements to delivery routes and support for green energy initiatives.

Evocom operates from Semenyih and supplies workers for e-commerce platforms’ logistics activities. It has made its debut on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market.

The tabling of Budget 2027 in Parliament is scheduled for Oct 9, 2026, by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
