Dufu Technology Corp Bhd recorded a 48% increase in 3QFY2026 net profit to RM15.55 million, supported by stronger sales of hard disk drive (HDD) components. A RM2.8 million gain from fair value changes in listed-share investments also contributed.

Earnings for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 were the highest in four years. They compared with RM10.5 million a year earlier and RM13.9 million in the previous quarter. Dufu’s Bursa Malaysia filing showed revenue climbed to RM89.62 million from RM71.37 million, an increase of 25.6%.

The precision components manufacturer reported 22% sales growth for HDD-related components, against 36% for components outside that segment. No dividend was declared for the quarter. Dufu had paid its FY2026 first interim dividend, amounting to two sen per share, on Sept 18.

For FY2026’s first nine months, revenue rose to RM258.31 million from RM206.48 million, up 25.1%. Net profit increased 82.9%, reaching RM37.07 million compared with RM20.27 million a year earlier.

Dufu anticipates continued strong HDD demand, particularly for nearline and enterprise storage serving artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data centres. It warned that currency fluctuations could affect earnings, with most revenue denominated in US dollars.

The group said Middle East geopolitical tensions had lifted oil prices, increasing costs for raw materials, transportation and energy. Its planned expansion covering machining, fabrication, sheet metal and stamping remained on schedule for 2027.
