CTOS restores credit reporting services after cybersecurity breach
The company said affected systems had been secured and independently validated. Shares rose 10.26% to 43 sen at the midday break.

CTOS Digital Bhd said on Nov 2 that it had resumed all credit reporting services disrupted by a cybersecurity breach after carrying out remedial work and introducing stronger security controls. These include CTOS Score and reports linked to the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS).
In a filing with the stock exchange, the company said the affected environments were secure, with security assessments and independent validation completed before services resumed. It said it would keep monitoring and improving its cybersecurity controls.
The company initially reported the incident on Sept 23, when it disclosed unauthorised access to an environment used by its consumer business. Files holding a limited amount of consumer information had been accessed, but CTOS did not identify the personal data involved.
On Oct 13, CTOS estimated that the breach would cut FY2026 Patami by RM12 million and revenue by RM16 million. Those estimates assumed some services would be unavailable until the third week of October.
For the first half of FY2026, net profit increased 15.63% to RM41.16 million, compared with RM35.6 million a year earlier. Revenue grew 8.63% to RM168.46 million from RM155.07 million, supported by growth in domestic and international operations.
CTOS shares gained four sen or 10.26% to reach 43 sen at the Nov 2 midday break, valuing the group at RM950.84 million. The stock had touched a record low of 36 sen on Oct 19 following the incident.
