Critical Holdings Bhd said its cleanroom construction contract at Kedah's Kulim Hi-Tech Park has increased in value by nearly 49% following changes to the work scope. In a bourse filing, the company put the revised value at RM226.68 million, compared with RM152.59 million initially.

The company said the adjustment adds RM74.1 million to the job awarded by an unnamed US-based multinational supplying equipment and services for semiconductor wafer fabrication. All other contractual terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Wholly owned subsidiary Critical Engineering Solutions Sdn Bhd secured the project in May. Work on the seven-month contract started on May 11, with completion scheduled for Dec 25. The previously disclosed scope covered cleanroom architecture alongside mechanical, electrical and process utilities services.

Separately, Critical Holdings secured an engineering, procurement and construction job worth RM772.49 million on June 30 to develop a high-technology industrial facility at the same park. That award also came from a US-based multinational serving the semiconductor industry.

Critical Holdings shares finished at RM2.82, gaining seven sen or 2.55%, with the company valued at RM1.15 billion. The stock was up 158.7% from its end-June price of RM1.09 and had risen over 213% since the year began.
