CelcomDigi Bhd said the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has granted its wholly-owned subsidiary spectrum assignments covering 2600 MHz and 900 MHz. CelcomDigi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (CDTel) received the assignments under Lot B of the Applicant Information Package No 1 of 2026.

In its Bursa Malaysia filing, CelcomDigi put the assignment fee for 2,600 MHz at RM366.75 million, while the fee for 900 MHz is RM15.0 million. Annual spectrum charges will also apply: RM42.0 million for 2600 MHz, and RM3,500 per apparatus for 900 MHz.

The company said both assignments begin on Nov 1, 2026. The 2,600 MHz assignment runs for four years, ending on Oct 31, 2030. The 900 MHz assignment has a five-year term ending on Oct 31, 2031.

Separately, the group said CDTel agreed to MCMC’s award terms on Oct 15, 2026, and paid the full RM381.75 million price component that day. MCMC had issued the application information package on Aug 14, 2026.
