CelcomDigi has introduced Campus@CelcomDigi to provide university students with workplace experience before graduation. The company said the programme adds to its CD talent development initiative, which also includes graduate career development and digital certifications.

Students will work with CelcomDigi staff on business problems and projects, with mentorship and structured exposure to the workplace. Participating institutions are Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Kuala Lumpur and HELP University. Spaces provided at CelcomDigi Tower and CelcomDigi Hub can accommodate up to 300 students.

CelcomDigi CEO Albern Murty said the aim was to familiarise students with workplace expectations before they take up full-time employment, as automation, AI and other technologies change industries.

The company's existing Young Talent Programme (YTP), introduced in August 2025, offers Malaysian graduates a two-year scheme with rotations through business functions. Its areas of experience include data analytics, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, AI and digital innovation. The first intake drew close to 3,600 applications for 20 placements.

The Certifications Programme covers skills in extended reality, AI and other emerging technologies. Higher Education director-general Professor Datuk Dr Azlinda Azman, who officiated the launch, said collaboration between industry and universities was important in giving graduates relevant practical experience before employment.
