Bus Cap shares rise 22.61%, drawing Bursa query
The bus manufacturer's stock closed at RM1.22 after touching RM1.26, with about nine million shares traded.

Bursa Malaysia Securities issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to Bus Cap Bhd after the bus manufacturer's shares gained 22.61% on Oct 14.
According to the regulator's filing, Bus Cap was asked whether undisclosed corporate developments, rumours in the market or any other circumstances could account for the jump. Bursa also sought confirmation that the company had met its disclosure obligations.
The stock ended trading at RM1.22, below its intraday peak of RM1.26. Turnover was about nine million shares. Bus Cap ranked among the session's biggest gainers, though it was not among the counters with the highest trading volumes.
Bus Cap listed in June at 23 sen per share and has a market capitalisation of RM467.7 million. A 67% stake is held by NCS Consolidated Holding Sdn Bhd, the private investment vehicle belonging to managing director Ng Chai Sing and his family.
For its six-month period ended June 30, 2026, Bus Cap reported revenue of RM46.23 million and net profit of RM4.6 million. Increased sales of single-deck and semi-high-deck buses supported the results.
