Negeri Sembilan expects infrastructure projects announced under Budget 2027 to help draw investors and improve access as Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) develops, Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim said on Oct 10.

Speaking to reporters after the Negeri Sembilan Malaysia Property Expo (Mapex) concluded, Ismail said a planned road connecting Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) with Bandar Enstek would support development and make travel easier. He also cited upgrades to Jalan Pajam-Nilai-Salak as an initiative benefiting the state.

During the Budget 2027 presentation, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government would complete MVV 2.0 development with infrastructure works. Alongside the road projects, these include implementation of the Klang Valley Dual Track 2 project.

Ismail also said the Rembau Integrated Health Complex would expand healthcare capacity in Negeri Sembilan. Several existing hospitals were experiencing problems, including insufficient beds, he said, adding that the complex would help meet healthcare needs as the population grows.

He called for the initiatives to proceed on schedule, saying execution delays could lead to public complaints given expectations following the announcements. The state government would work with the relevant departments and help facilitate implementation so residents could receive the benefits within the planned timeframe, he said.
