Budget 2027 scheduled for tabling on Oct 9
Saifuddin expects the budget to extend the Madani government's efforts to widen prosperity and give priority to public well-being.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is due to present Budget 2027 at 3.30pm on Oct 9 in the Dewan Rakyat, with ministers outlining their expectations for economic prosperity, public welfare and longer-term planning.
In a post on X, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he anticipated further efforts under the Madani government to make prosperity more widely shared, with people's well-being remaining a priority.
Saifuddin linked initiatives in earlier Madani budgets to Malaysia's economic resilience amid global uncertainty. He cited the economy's expansion of 5.7 per cent during the first half of 2026.
He also described the Home Ministry's role in preserving security, peace and stability. This included enhancing enforcement agencies' capabilities and protecting the welfare of personnel serving to keep the public safe.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, posting separately on X, called for planning that looks ahead and reflects public needs and Malaysia's aspirations. They said economic strengthening and better public well-being were priorities in Budget 2027.
