BMW reveals i3 M60 electric sedan ahead of 2027 arrival
The model introduces M Performance to the Neue Klasse EV architecture. BMW also displayed carbon fibre accessories for the i3 and new 3 Series.

BMW has unveiled an electric sports sedan, the i3 M60, and confirmed it will enter the line-up in 2027. It is the first vehicle to combine the M Performance designation with BMW’s dedicated Neue Klasse EV architecture, and will be offered alongside the petrol-powered M350.
Photographs show M Sport exterior trim and an angular interpretation of the kidney grille on the front panel. The mirrors have a tricolour finish and wingtips, while the boot carries a two-part lip spoiler. Cabin details visible in the images include the existing dashboard, Panoramic iDrive displays and an M Sport steering wheel.
The M350 and i3 M60 both receive M Yellow Lights, previously limited to CS models. Their diagonal lighting elements illuminate yellow when used as positioning lights, switching to white for daytime running duties to meet global regulations. The US configuration reverses those colours.
BMW also presented M Performance Parts on the two models. Carbon fibre accessories cover the front spoiler, skirt extensions, mirror housings and rear diffuser additions, as well as a rear spoiler. The displayed i3 M60 carries a split rear wing; the M350 has a fabric tow hook. Carbon sill plates bear M Performance lettering.
