Big Caring Group appoints retail underwriters for proposed Main Market IPO
The pharmacy operator plans an offering of up to 1.9 billion shares, with new shares and existing holdings offered for sale.

Big Caring Group Bhd (BCG) has signed an agreement covering retail underwriting for its proposed Bursa Malaysia Main Market IPO. The pharmacy operator's offering will account for 25.5% of enlarged share capital, the group said.
The agreement involves three banks: AmInvestment Bank Bhd, Maybank Investment Bank Bhd and RHB Investment Bank Bhd. BCG, which runs BIG Pharmacy and CARiNG Pharmacy, said it would issue 590.5 million new shares, alongside the sale of 1.3 billion existing shares.
Institutions will have an allocation of up to 1.6 billion shares. This includes 922.7 million shares earmarked for Bumiputera investors approved by the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry. Other institutional investors from Malaysia and abroad, together with selected investors, will be offered up to 692 million shares.
The retail allocation totals 267.6 million shares. Of these, 147.6 million shares are designated for public applicants in Malaysia, with equal portions for Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera applicants. The remaining 120 million shares are for eligible directors, employees and people who have contributed to BCG.
Lee Meng Chuan, group managing director and chief executive officer, said the listing would support more stores, improvements to retail operations online and offline, and stronger distribution capabilities. BCG reported adding 58 outlets in FY2026, which ended June 30, 2026. A further 12 opened over the next three months, taking the network to 668 stores.
BCG reported FY2026 revenue of RM4 billion against RM1.1 billion in FY2023, a 53.6% compound annual growth rate. Profit after tax reached RM231.8 million from RM41.2 million across that period. Neither an indicative IPO price nor a market valuation was disclosed.
