Qudotech Sdn Bhd has received a RM40 million subcontract for a hyperscale data centre’s plumbing and sanitary works in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, its parent AWC Bhd said in an Oct 14 bourse filing.

The contract came from Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, a unit of Gamuda Bhd. Qudotech is wholly owned by AWC, and the data centre project is in Bandar Spring Hill.

Qudotech’s responsibilities span supply and delivery through to installation, testing and commissioning. The systems covered include rainwater harvesting and cold water, alongside sanitary services, fire hydrants and water reticulation.

AWC said the project’s work commenced on Aug 14. Preliminary activity at the site proceeded as the agreement’s terms were being finalised, and completion is scheduled by Oct 22, 2027.

Similar awards secured by AWC in April and August totalled RM45 million. The group’s shares finished Oct 14 unchanged at 69 sen, with market capitalisation standing at RM237.5 million.
