Rock Link Sdn Bhd has awarded AME Construction Sdn Bhd a RM120 million building contract for Baltimore Aircoil Co (BAC)’s planned facility in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, according to parent company AME Elite Consortium Bhd.

AME Elite said manufacturing and testing activities would be housed at the facility, with handover scheduled within 14 months. BAC Malaysia Sdn Bhd will run the completed premises, which will also become BAC’s technical hub for the Asia-Pacific region.

The company’s bourse filing puts the development at about 30,000 sq m in Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai. Plans include a detached factory with one storey, a regional engineering office with two storeys and buildings for support functions.

AME Elite expects the project to support increasing regional demand linked to artificial intelligence ecosystems, high-density data centres and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Cooling solutions provider BAC announced in August that it would invest US$150 million (RM613.26 million) over 10 years in the region.

The award adds to AME Elite’s order book for external construction and engineering work, which was RM485.7 million as at June 30.

AME Elite’s closing share price on Tuesday was unchanged at RM1.30, valuing the group at RM832.87 million.
