AirAsia Group Bhd and Capital A Bhd recorded share-price gains in early trading on Nov 5 as crude oil prices declined. Both were among the most actively traded counters, according to Bernama.

At 10.07 am, AirAsia traded at 55 sen after advancing 10 sen, a gain of 21.97 per cent. Its trading volume reached 47.96 million shares. Capital A was at 27 sen, up four sen or 17.39 per cent, on turnover of 27.30 million shares.

Brent crude stood at US$93.93 per barrel, down 0.73 per cent, while WTI crude was priced at US$87.32 per barrel after declining 0.91 per cent.

Bernama reported that oil prices had fallen as investors weighed whether a Democratic sweep of the United States midterm elections could hasten efforts to end the war with Iran.
