Bursa Malaysia has given Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd another six months to lodge its regularisation plan, setting April 16, 2027 as the new deadline, the financially distressed builder said in a filing.

Ho Hup said its shares would face suspension from trading and the company could be delisted if it misses the submission deadline, fails to secure regulatory approvals or does not implement the plan on time. It can appeal against any action by Bursa.

The company had sought a 12-month extension after missing its initial submission deadline. Bursa previously allowed six months, until Oct 17. Ho Hup has also been dealing with several legal actions brought by creditors.

Its Practice Note 17 classification followed a loan default of RM112.69 million by wholly owned subsidiary Bukit Jalil Development Sdn Bhd. Ho Hup had guaranteed those loans. The builder had previously entered PN17 status in July 2008 and left it in May 2014 after financial restructuring.

For FY2026, which ended on June 30, 2026, Ho Hup reported a smaller loss of RM12.3 million, against RM435.6 million for FY2025. Annual revenue fell 28%, from RM15.6 million to RM11.2 million.
