Zetrix AI Bhd has confirmed a temporary suspension of its collection services for the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and said discussions are under way to address the issues. The digital services company disclosed this in a filing with the exchange.

The confirmation follows an Oct 2 report by The Edge Malaysia and a JPJ notice issued on the same date concerning the suspension of Zetrix AI and subsidiary MyEG Sdn Bhd as collection agents.

JPJ said it had considered whether the companies had complied with their contractual terms, alongside obligations that remained unfulfilled or unsettled, before deciding on the suspension.

According to a Transport Ministry spokesperson, Zetrix AI owes the government more than RM200 million. The money was collected for traffic summonses, vehicle road tax and driving licence renewals under a three-year contract that began in May 2023.

The company was established in 2000 as MyEG Services Bhd and provided government services online through its JPJ partnership.
