During her time as a resident, Dr. Wood spent time rotating at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City. She enjoyed her time working with patients, physicians, nurses, and staff that she chose to stay in Kansas City and join the medical staff and Saint Luke's ENT Specialists after completing her residency.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in otolaryngology through the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.
